Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Prairie Lea Commuity Church, grounded in the Wesleyan tradition and built upon the foundational truths taught in Scripture. Our teaching and ministry are rooted in the Bible and flow from these historic Wesleyan doctrines, emphasizing God’s grace, the call to holy living, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit .
God
There is one eternally existing God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons in one divine essence. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all that exists, both seen and unseen, and is worthy of all worship, honor, and praise.
In keeping with our Wesleyan heritage, we affirm that God’s very nature is holy love—perfect in power, wisdom, justice, mercy, and grace. He acts in all things for our redemption and calls us into relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ. God does not change; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His love continually seeks to renew and transform every heart through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Mankind
Humanity, both male and female, was created in the image of God to reflect His glory and live in relationship with Him. Though created pure and without sin, the first humans turned away from God, bringing brokenness into the world. Yet, in His grace and love, God continues to pursue us, offering redemption and new life through Jesus Christ.
The Fall
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin entered the world, and humanity’s relationship with God was broken. Though the image of God in us was marred, it was not destroyed. By His prevenient grace, God continues to reach out, calling us back into fellowship and offering restoration through Jesus Christ.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is the visible body of Christ, called to glorify God and share the good news of Jesus. In the Wesleyan tradition, the Church is both a community of grace and a mission to the world—where believers grow in holiness, serve others in love, and work together to bring God’s transforming presence to every place we go.
Ressurection
Jesus Christ will return in glory to judge the living and the dead and to bring the fullness of God’s kingdom to earth.
In the Wesleyan hope, we believe in the resurrection of the body and the renewal of all creation, where God’s perfect justice, peace, and love will reign forever.
